The Jordan Football Association conducted both matches behind closed doors without television coverage to prevent exposure of their tactics and did not release any player lists or match statistics.

Instead, they only announced the 2-1 victory, noting that the match was in a friendly atmosphere.

Jordan, in the same group as South Korea for the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers, will play a home game against Kuwait in Amman on September 5, followed by a neutral-site match against Palestine in Malaysia on September 10.

On October 10, Jordan will face South Korea in Amman for their third match of the World Cup qualifiers. The recent friendly against North Korea is seen as a strategic preparation for this important game.

South Korea had a tough time against Jordan in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, drawing 2-2 in the group stage and losing 2-0 in the semifinals.

North Korea is striving for its first World Cup appearance since the 2010 South Africa tournament. The team competes in Group A alongside Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kyrgyzstan.
