Buzz Around Jensen Huang at CES 2025: Tech’s Big Celebrity

EtcBuzz Around Jensen Huang at CES 2025: Tech’s Big Celebrity

“I came to hear what Jensen Huang has to say.”

Matthew Murray, who traveled from Utah to Las Vegas on Tuesday, described NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang as a “major person.” “Huang has achieved remarkable things, and his message is important,” he said.

Thousands of people had gathered two hours before Huang’s keynote address at the Mandalay Bay Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, creating a long line. Although the main event, CES 2025, was still a day away from the official opening, the endless line underscored Huang’s status as a “top celebrity” in the tech industry.

Huang was set to deliver his highly anticipated keynote at CES 2025, the world’s premier tech showcase, at 6:20 PM local time. This marks his first appearance on the CES stage in six years since 2019 and his first keynote in eight years since 2017.

All eyes are on Huang, with market watchers hanging on his every word. As a key player in the AI semiconductor industry, he is expected to discuss details about next-generation processors. Bank of America issued a report predicting that CES would boost NVIDIA’s already soaring stock price.

Tech insiders are also buzzing about a potential meeting between Huang and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae Won. The two executives have cultivated a strong “AI alliance,” which was highlighted by a surprise meeting at NVIDIA’s U.S. headquarters last April. If they do meet again in Las Vegas, it could signal new AI collaborations.
