FutureLS Eco Energy Taps Into $150M Wind Project to Power 85,000 Homes

LS Eco Energy announced on Friday that its Vietnamese subsidiary, LS-VINA, will supply power cables for a wind power project in the Philippines.

LS-VINA is set to provide power cables for the “Kalayaan 2 Wind Power Project,” which the Philippine government is pursuing with a $150 million investment and aiming to complete next year.

This project involves developing a wind farm with a capacity of approximately 100 MW in the Kalayaan and Paete regions of Laguna Province, Philippines. Once operational, it will supply clean energy to about 85,000 households.

LS-VINA will supply medium voltage (MV) cables to construct the wind farm’s power grid. Through this contract, LS Eco Energy plans to contribute to the establishment of an eco-friendly power grid in the Philippines and intensify its efforts in the Southeast Asian power infrastructure market.

A company spokesperson noted that the Philippine government is actively pursuing large-scale solar and wind projects to increase the share of renewable energy to 50% by 2040. They added that private company participation in these initiatives is steadily growing.

LS Eco Energy plans to expand its business into Indonesia and Malaysia, accelerating its entry into the global eco-friendly power grid market.
