North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile into the East Sea on Tuesday afternoon.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff reported the launch of an unidentified projectile by North Korea into the East Sea at 3:59 p.m. through a text message to the press corps.
This marks North Korea’s first ballistic missile test in 23 days, following their previous launch on January 4. During that earlier test, North Korea claimed to have conducted hypersonic missile trials after firing multiple ballistic missiles from the vicinity of Pyongyang into the East Sea.
