Kim Jong Un, the General Secretary of North Korea’s Workers’ Party, recently exchanged letters with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, underscoring the strengthening of bilateral relations.

The Workers’ Party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, published Kim’s response to President Lukashenko on its second page on Tuesday. In his letter, Kim expressed profound appreciation for Lukashenko’s warm congratulations on his recent re-election as Chairman of the State Affairs Commission during the Supreme People’s Assembly. Kim stated that the friendly relationship between North Korea and Belarus will flourish and reach new heights.

The same page also reported on meetings between Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui and Jo Yong-won, Chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly, with a delegation from Russia’s TASS news agency visiting Pyongyang. Notably, Foreign Minister Choe reaffirmed North Korea’s commitment to implementing the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty with Russia during her discussions with the delegation.

The front page featured an article titled, The People’s Glory is Endless, and the Future is Brilliant. The newspaper reported that Kim’s recent address at the Supreme People’s Assembly outlined specific objectives across all sectors of national and social life, including politics, military, and economy. This has reportedly ignited a wave of enthusiasm among citizens nationwide.

Page 3 reported that young people in Kaesong City have expressed their willingness to volunteer for major economic projects following the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party. The newspaper explained that inspired by the decisions of the Ninth Congress, youth from various institutions, factories, and enterprises in the city are eager to contribute their efforts to open a new era. They have volunteered for raw material bases and construction brigades, ready to dedicate themselves to this rewarding journey.

Page 4 covered the TASS delegation’s visit to Mangyongdae, where they took commemorative photos. The report also mentioned their visits to the National Gifts Exhibition House, the Pyongyang Metro, Liberation Tower, and the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church.
