On April 10, Song Eon-seok, the floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized President Lee Jae Myung for sharing a video allegedly showing the killing of individuals believed to be Israeli soldiers while mentioning the Jewish genocide. Song pointed out that the president remains silent on North Korean human rights issues.

Song posted on Facebook that day, sharing President Lee’s post on X (formerly Twitter), and wrote, How can a president who shows no interest in North Korean human rights and can’t even demand an apology for the Cheonan incident verify the facts about the situation in faraway Israel?

He also questioned, Could the president’s Facebook account be hacked? and further asked, Is South Korea effectively siding with Iran in a wartime context when the source and facts of this video are unclear?

He added that this has certainly caught his attention since early this morning.

That morning, President Lee shared a video on his X account, depicting an individual, presumed to be an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier, throwing someone off a rooftop. He stated that he needs to investigate if this is true and what actions have been taken if it is.

The president remarked that the forced labor of comfort women, the Jewish genocide, and wartime killings are all fundamentally the same issue.
