Writing product titles has long been considered one of the last manual processes in online retail, as sellers tailor listings to the search algorithms and policies of platforms such as Naver Smart Store, Coupang, Gmarket, and 11st.

According to industry sources on Monday, ConnectWave recently introduced a new artificial intelligence-powered feature called “AI Product Title Optimization” through its integrated e-commerce management solution, PlayAuto.

The feature analyzes product titles and sales performance data uploaded by merchants, then extracts and applies patterns commonly used by top-performing sellers.

A company official said the AI learned platform-specific keyword placement methods and sentence structures across product categories to replicate what it described as the “grammar of high-converting product titles.”

Internal testing showed measurable improvements in product visibility. Some products that previously ranked outside the top 100 search results on online marketplaces reportedly appeared on the first page after AI-generated title optimization was applied.

The results suggest that data-driven automation can meaningfully improve search exposure, a critical factor in online sales performance.

PlayAuto said it plans to continue expanding AI capabilities tied to sales data in order to directly support merchant revenue growth.

The platform allows sellers to manage more than 300 domestic and global online marketplaces — including Naver Smart Store and Coupang — through a single account. It supports the entire sales process, including product registration, order processing, shipping, and inventory management.

In March, PlayAuto also launched “SellFit AI,” a feature that automatically generates product detail pages using only a few core keywords.

By combining AI-powered tools with integrated order, logistics, and inventory functions, the company aims to improve operational efficiency for online merchants.

Heo Se-young, head of PlayAuto’s business division, said many sellers struggle with crafting effective product titles, while top merchants have accumulated expertise in keyword strategies and search-friendly formatting.

“Our goal was to turn that know-how into data so we can reduce sellers’ workload and improve product competitiveness,” Heo said.
