Kia is set to play a crucial role as the official mobility partner for the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup 2026, which will be held across North and Central America. The automaker plans to support the tournament’s operations by providing a substantial fleet of vehicles.

On Wednesday, Kia announced its commitment to supply a total of 660 vehicles to ensure the smooth running of the FIFA World Cup, scheduled from June 11 to July 19.

The lineup of vehicles to be utilized during the event includes the Carnival, Telluride, Sorento, Sportage, K4, Niro, and Sonet models.

With the World Cup being hosted across three North American nations – the U.S., Canada, and Mexico – Kia aims to showcase its future-oriented mobility solutions by featuring key vehicles that represent its diverse and innovative product range.

Beyond the official vehicle support, Kia plans to engage soccer fans globally through various initiatives, including the launch of FIFA World Cup display themes and the Kia Official Match Ball Carrier (OMBC) program.

The OMBC program, a cornerstone of Kia’s FIFA World Cup partnership, selects children to accompany match officials onto the field, carrying the official match ball before each game begins.

Kia has expanded on this concept by introducing the OMBC Cup, allowing selected children to actively participate in the World Cup journey alongside youth from various countries.

Kia President Song Ho-sung emphasized that this vehicle support demonstrates Kia’s dedication to delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions on the global stage.

Since 2007, Kia has maintained its role as FIFA’s official mobility partner, engaging in various activities. The company plans to continue providing cutting-edge mobility solutions at FIFA global events through 2030.
