NVIDIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang, currently on a visit to South Korea, met with LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo on Monday to explore avenues for expanding collaboration in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

The high-profile meeting, which lasted approximately 70 minutes, took place at LG Twin Towers in Seoul’s Yeouido district, commencing around 11:14 a.m. (Korean time). Following the discussion, Huang addressed reporters, stating that LG stands as a global leader across various industries and cutting-edge technology sectors. They represent one of the most crucial partners in NVIDIA’s collaborative efforts.

Huang particularly highlighted the potential for cooperation in robotics and AI. He elaborated that the partnership with LG spans areas where AI, robotics, electronics, and mechanical systems converge. The NVIDIA chief also commended the LG AI Research Institute, describing it as truly remarkable.

Chairman Koo echoed the sentiment for expanded cooperation. He shared that it engaged in extensive dialogue with NVIDIA regarding future trajectories, adding that it’s evident that heightened collaboration will be essential to accelerate the advent of the AI era.

This strategic meeting resulted in LG and NVIDIA agreeing to bolster their partnership across several key domains, including physical AI, AI infrastructure development, and mobility solutions. As part of this enhanced cooperation, the two tech giants will jointly develop reference robots based on NVIDIA’s humanoid robot inference model, Isaac GR00T.
