Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of North Korea, conducted an inspection of the newly built tourist railway station and emergency medical facility at the Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Zone.

The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of Korea, reported on June 26 that Kim had personally overseen the new construction projects in the Wonsan-Kalma area on June 24.

According to the newspaper, Kim identified several deficiencies in the railway station’s finishing work. He stressed that the construction sector must refine its quality control assessment system, bolster construction management capabilities, and prioritize efforts to enhance workers’ technical proficiency.

The second page of the newspaper revealed that on June 25, marking the 76th anniversary of the Korean War, Kim observed test launches of missiles and multiple rocket launchers designed for potential strikes against South Korea. Kim evaluated the tests as a demonstration of technological progress in line with the party’s military development strategy, focusing on changes in firepower deployment along the southern border and adhering to three core principles: automation, extended range, and precision.

Kim emphasized that the party’s self-defense policy isn’t merely about improving defensive capabilities. It’s about developing a lethal and destructive offensive posture that renders any adversary impotent. Keeping the enemies in a perpetual state of anxiety and fear is a key component of our deterrence strategy.

The third page highlighted reactions from Nampo Shipyard personnel following the commissioning of the 5,000-ton destroyer Choe Hyon. The paper noted that the shipyard workers, who contributed to building the destroyer and establishing a formidable naval combat system – a first in the military history – have once again felt the profound care of the leader. A unique sense of pride and joy permeated the entire facility.

On the fourth page, the newspaper described a scene of schoolchildren sketching the national flag in Saebyul Street. It stated that through the national flag, they learn about their homeland. Their love for the flag evolves into fervent patriotism, nurturing the aspirations of a new generation that will proudly display the flag across the world.

The fifth page reported that the national wheat and barley harvest has reached 88% completion. An article titled, Biological Industry and Its Environmental Characteristics, emphasized that it must uphold the party’s vision of developing the biological industry, safeguarding the national ecosystem, and invigorating production to ensure the citizens enjoy prosperous and modern living conditions.

The sixth page captured residents’ reactions to new industrial facilities and housing developments in Yeontan County’s Wolryong-ri and Songjuk-ri. It noted that the people of Yeontan County, emerging as pioneers of rural modernization in the homes provided by the party, have witnessed the rise of state-of-the-art local industrial complexes. The harvest from the cedar forests behind the village has been transformed into new products, bringing joy and pride to Songjuk-ri residents.
