The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the fourth meeting of the Government-Wide Task Force (TF) for Improving U.S. Visa Issues on Tuesday. The meeting focused on discussing medium- and long-term strategies to enhance the U.S. visa system for Korean corporate personnel.

The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant government agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups. Economic organizations such as the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), as well as key stakeholders from companies investing in the U.S., were also present.

The government stated that, in response to the growing demand for personnel deployment due to increased U.S. investments by Korean companies, it would strive to incorporate business suggestions into its visa system improvement plans. This effort aims to create a more stable environment for entry and residence in the U.S.

Furthermore, the government urged companies to strictly adhere to U.S. immigration laws and requested active support for personnel from partner companies accompanying them in their U.S. ventures.

Moving forward, the task force will continue to gather input from companies investing in the U.S. and collaborate with relevant ministries to address challenges related to entry, residence, and visa issues for Korean businesses and their employees.
