The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) recently teamed up with the Seoul Morning Coffee Club (SMCC) for a sizzling event called SMCC Breakfast with U.S. Pork. This collab, which wrapped up on Monday, was all about kickstarting mornings with mouthwatering brunch dishes starring American pork.

Riding the wellness wave, the federation cooked up this event to show off how U.S. pork can be the protein powerhouse in a healthy breakfast routine. About 60 lucky participants got to join in on the fun, thanks to a partnership with SMCC, a wellness community known for making mornings something to look forward to.

The day started with an energizing group run at Mangwon Hangang Park. Afterward, everyone headed to Slow Yard, a hotspot for authentic American BBQ, for some coffee and chit-chat.

The USMEF rolled out a drool-worthy U.S. Pork brunch spread. It’s talking pulled pork, juicy sausages, and crispy bacon, paired with fresh salad mixes, cute baby potatoes, and hearty rye bread.

American pork, the star of the show, is packed with nutrients like thiamine and zinc – perfect for that morning energy boost. Here’s a pro tip: pulled pork is a protein goldmine, with 25 grams (about 0.88 oz) per 100 grams (about 3.52 oz). That means you can hit over half your daily protein goals with just 160-180 grams (about 5.64 to 6.35 oz)!

In a fun twist, guests got to sum up their morning routines in one snappy line. As a parting gift, the USMEF handed out some cool U.S. Pork lunchbox swag and meal planning guides to help everyone stay on top of their protein game.

Park Jun-il, who heads up the USMEF’s Korea office, dished out some exciting news: It’s cooking up more relatable events that’ll let folks experience American pork in all sorts of everyday situations.
