Amidst the rising controversy caused by a threatening post aimed at NewJeans, their agency has announced that they are preparing safety measures as a precaution.

On the 25th, ADOR stated to News1, “We are currently preparing enhanced safety measures in collaboration with a Japanese concert planning agency,” adding, “At the same time, the police investigation is ongoing in Korea and we are actively cooperating with the investigation.” They further stated, “We are putting forth utmost efforts to ensure the artists can engage in safe activities.”

On the 24th, a post titled “I Bought This To Use At The NewJeans Concert” was posted online. The post included a picture of a Japanese sword with the caption, “I plan to give a hit to each person when they get off the van.” The image appears to have been copied from a photo of Japanese swords available on an online shopping site.

As the post spread, fans were engulfed in shock and anger. One fan even sent a direct message (DM) to ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin’s personal social media account, including a screenshot of the threat and a plea for increased security. It has been reported that Min is aware of the situation.

Meanwhile, NewJeans is scheduled to hold their first fan meeting, Bunnies Camp 2024 at the Tokyo Dome, in Tokyo, Japan from the 26th to the 27th.
