A man in his twenties who confessed to killing his pet dog under the influence of marijuana has been arrested.

On the 18th, the Ojeong Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province announced that they had arrested a man in his twenties under suspicion of violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics and the Animal Protection Act.

The man is accused of smoking marijuana and then killing his pet dog with a weapon at his home in Wonjong-dong, Ojeong-gu, Bucheon, around 12:20 PM on the 16th. His crime was revealed when he reported to emergency services that he had smoked marijuana.

After receiving the report, the police arrested the man at the scene and applied for a warrant to the Bucheon branch of the Incheon District Court, receiving the warrant that afternoon.

The police said, “The suspect tested positive in a simple drug test. We have also confiscated the marijuana that we discovered. We are planning to investigate how he had access to the marijuana.”
