Unlocking the Future of Neuroscience: AriBio’s Partnership with Lilly TuneLab for Advanced AI Drug Development

0

AriBio announced on Friday its official participation in Eli Lilly’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) drug development platform, Lilly TuneLab™.

The company will merge its decade-long expertise in neuroscience research with Eli Lilly’s next-generation predictive AI model, aiming to translate scientific findings into tangible therapeutic developments.

This collaboration is set to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities across the neuroscience pipeline. Moreover, AriBio aims to elevate its drug development process to world-class standards, focusing on treatments that address the root causes of diseases rather than merely alleviating symptoms.

Lilly TuneLab is an innovative drug development platform that leverages AI and machine learning models. These models are trained on Eli Lilly’s extensive research data, accumulated over decades, and are now accessible to pioneering biotech firms.

The platform incorporates high-quality datasets from various sources, including pharmacokinetics, safety studies, preclinical research, and molecular structures numbering in the hundreds of thousands. This comprehensive approach enables participating companies to make highly accurate, predictive decisions throughout the drug discovery and development process.

A key feature of Lilly TuneLab is its advanced federated learning infrastructure, which ensures the complete protection of participating companies’ data assets and privacy. This allows AriBio to contribute to and benefit from an open innovation ecosystem, improving AI model performance without compromising its proprietary data.

Jeong Jae-jun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AriBio, stated that the company has built world-class expertise and amassed extensive data in clinical, translational, and mechanistic research, with a focus on conquering neurodegenerative diseases. The high-quality datasets they’ve acquired through the proprietary programs are invaluable assets for AI-driven drug development.

He added that the participation in Lilly TuneLab represents a pivotal moment in revolutionizing the development of treatments for neurodegenerative diseases through state-of-the-art AI and machine learning technologies. It’s committed to accelerating the development of next-generation central nervous system treatments by seamlessly integrating the ARIDD® AI platform with the global collaborative network.

In related news, AriBio recently inked an exclusive licensing deal with China’s Puxing Pharmaceutical for the global development, approval, production, and commercialization of AR1001, an oral Alzheimer’s treatment. The agreement, valued at up to 4.7 billion USD, represents more than half of the total technology export value in South Korea’s biotech sector this year.
