Huons Group’s Humedix hosted an academic exchange program called ACE on Wednesday, welcoming employees from its Brazilian distribution partner, Innovapharma, and key Brazilian medical professionals.
This event, now in its second consecutive year, follows the inaugural visit of a Brazilian delegation to the company’s headquarters and factory last October.
Themed Where Confidence Begins, the program was designed to showcase the origins of medical professionals’ confidence in selecting and using Humedix fillers. Participants engaged in seven distinct programs organized by Humedix, alternating between the Jecheon factory and Pangyo headquarters.
While last year’s event primarily focused on introducing Humedix through promotional exhibitions and factory tours, this year’s program expanded to include academic data sessions and clinical experience sharing opportunities.
Humedix presented a comprehensive narrative, linking the manufacturing quality of fillers with scientific evidence and real-world clinical applications. The program allowed medical professionals to directly verify the manufacturing process and academic foundations of Renova, the hyaluronic acid (HA) filler brand approved for sale in Brazil.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are injectable medical devices that utilize hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body, to reduce wrinkles and enhance facial contours. The specific application areas and treatment purposes can vary based on the product’s viscoelasticity and longevity.
Kang Min-jong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Humedix, explained that this year’s ACE program was crafted to give Brazilian medical professionals firsthand insight into the source of Humedix’ quality – from the factory to the data and clinical settings. In partnership with Innovapharma, it aims to establish trust in the Brazilian market not just as a product supplier, but as a partner in academic dialogue with medical professionals.
