BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is proving her evolving musical spectrum by unveiling tracks from her debut solo studio album. After showcasing a calm and elegant charm with her first pre-release single “CLICK,” she has now captivated global fans with a sultry and intense transformation.
On Friday at 8:00 a.m. (KST), Jisoo dropped her second pre-release single “ADDICTED” across various digital platforms. The track explores the sweet yet intoxicating emotions of love, featuring Jisoo’s addictive vocals that effortlessly glide through a wide range. Set against punchy beats and an opening thunder effect, “ADDICTED” instantly grabs listeners’ attention.
The most striking element of this new release is Jisoo’s bold shift in audiovisual concept. While “CLICK” displayed her elegant and sensual vocals to convey instinctual attraction, “ADDICTED” puts forth a seductive and sexy mood reminiscent of a dangerous feline.
In the accompanying music video, Jisoo stuns in a variety of elaborate outfits, showcasing her visual prowess. She elevates the production value with a mesmerizing underwater performance, gracefully moving through water in a mysterious atmosphere where light and darkness interplay. Renowned choreographer Lee Jung contributed to the project, crafting intricate routines that amplify Jisoo’s appeal and enhance the viewer’s immersion.
By releasing these contrasting pre-release tracks, Jisoo is cementing her sophisticated identity as a solo artist. While maintaining her distinct musical style, she demonstrates her versatility in adapting to various concepts. Fans are eagerly anticipating what new facets of her artistry she’ll reveal in the upcoming full album.
Following the release of “ADDICTED,” Jisoo is set to appear on various music shows, promising high-caliber performances that will showcase her talents.
