Yuhan Corp. has secured an additional overseas export order by signing an API supply contract worth more than $800 million with a global pharmaceutical company.

Yuhan Corp. disclosed Sept. 1 that it had signed a supply agreement for active pharmaceutical ingredients with a global pharmaceutical company. The contract is worth $874 million, equivalent to about 6% of the company’s consolidated revenue of $14.6 billion last year.

The contract runs from Sept. 1, 2026, to May 31, 2028. It is a long-term agreement to supply APIs for about 21 months. However, the contract period and terms may be changed by mutual agreement between the two companies.

The company did not disclose the identity of the counterparty or the specific products to be supplied.

The agreement is expected to provide Yuhan Corp. with stable export revenue over a certain period and serve as an opportunity to expand its position in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.

Meanwhile, Yuhan Corp. operates businesses including pharmaceutical manufacturing and sales, APIs and health functional foods. While maintaining its domestic business base centered on prescription drugs, the company is also expanding overseas through API exports and global partnerships.

In drug development, the company is achieving global business results centered on Leclaza, a treatment for non-small cell lung cancer. Leclaza was co-developed with Janssen, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, and has entered global markets. Yuhan Corp. is using the global business experience gained through the drug to expand the discovery of follow-on drug candidates and investment in research and development.
