The Korea Health Industry Development Institute’s K-Health Future Promotion Team announced on Thursday that it will unveil the interim results of the Korean-style ARPA-H project for the first time at BIO KOREA 2026, scheduled from April 28 to 30 at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) in Seoul.

This exhibition marks the inaugural showcase of interim results from the Korean-style ARPA-H project, which has been in progress for about two years since the promotion team’s launch in March 2024. The team aims to share with the public and industry the current status of its groundbreaking research focused on tackling healthcare challenges.

The Korean-style ARPA-H project operates under an innovative model where project managers (PMs) pose thought-provoking questions and steer research around the problem-solving process. Visitors to the promotional booth will have the opportunity to explore these questions, the research and development (R&D) process, and the interim achievements in an engaging, interactive manner.

The exhibition will spotlight a diverse array of research topics aimed at addressing critical healthcare issues, including mobile vaccine production for rapid infectious disease response, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven disease prediction and management in daily life, drug and organ development leveraging microgravity environments in space, and advanced diagnostics for muscle aging coupled with personalized treatment plans.

Each project begins with a provocative What if? question, aiming to showcase cutting-edge technologies currently under development and their interim results, all while pushing the boundaries of existing limitations.

Researchers will be on hand at the promotional booth to provide in-depth explanations of the technology development stages and interim results, engaging with visitors to discuss the potential applications and future directions of their work.

Furthermore, the event will facilitate business partnering opportunities for participating researchers, fostering collaboration and commercialization prospects with domestic and international biotech firms, startups, investors, and research institutions.

Dr. Sun Kyung, head of the K-Health Future Promotion Team, stated that this exhibition serves as a landmark event to unveil the first interim results of the Korean-style ARPA-H project. He added that it would catalyze the expansion of research outcomes aimed at bolstering health security and addressing critical healthcare challenges through industry partnerships and global collaboration.

Dr. Kyung emphasized, that it remains committed to pursuing cutting-edge research that will yield innovative, tangible results for the benefit of public health.
