Coreline Soft is partnering with INFINITT North America (INA) to establish an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chest CT interpretation workflow at a U.S. hospital.
The medical AI company said Aug. 11 that it will integrate its AI solution, AVIEW, with the existing INFINITT PACS at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, New Jersey.
The project marks the second joint deployment by Coreline Soft and INA in North America. The two companies previously established a Zero-Click AI workflow based on AVIEW at ImageCare Radiology, a U.S. radiology group.
St. Joseph’s Health is a general hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency care. Under the project, AI-assisted interpretation will initially focus on chest CT scans for patients undergoing lung cancer screening.
AVIEW pre-analyzes chest CT images for key findings, including pulmonary nodules, and provides physicians with structured information on lesion size, volume and location. It also supports comparisons between prior and current scans to identify changes in the size and shape of pulmonary nodules and other findings.
A key feature is that the AI will be integrated directly into the INFINITT PACS already used by St. Joseph’s Health rather than operating as a separate program. Once CT images are transmitted to the PACS, AI analysis will run in the background, allowing physicians to review the results within their existing interpretation environment.
Coreline Soft expects the integration to reduce the burden on radiologists by allowing them to access AI analysis results without launching a separate program or switching between screens.
At ImageCare Radiology, the companies previously established a system in which AI analysis automatically begins when CT images are uploaded to the server, with the results displayed in the INFINITT viewer.
The deployment at St. Joseph’s Health is significant because it expands the companies’ joint deployment model beyond radiology specialty groups into an actual hospital care setting.
Coreline Soft plans to expand the application of its AI solutions through INA’s network of North American healthcare institutions and medical imaging systems. Rather than deploying AI separately at individual hospitals, the company plans to expand its business by integrating its solutions with local PACS and making them available within physicians’ existing imaging workflows.
