“The ‘Oligio XM’ we are unveiling today is Wontech’s new flagship model. Beyond the achievements Oligio has built so far, we are now beginning another transformation.” At Wontech’s global symposium “Wave Seoul 2026,” held the afternoon of Sept. 5 at Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul’s Gwangjin-gu district, Wontech Vice President Kim Chang-young introduced the new flagship product, Oligio XM, with these remarks. Oligio XM, unveiled for the first time that day by Wontech, a medical solutions company specializing in laser- and energy-based technologies, features the integration of radiofrequency (RF) and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in a single device. By using different energy technologies in one device, the system allows treatment methods to be tailored to patients’ skin conditions and specific areas of the face. Kim said, “Oligio has grown while receiving a great deal of support, and through Oligio, Wontech has also been able to reach more markets and new customers. With three product lines — the original ‘Oligio,’ the performance-enhanced ‘Oligio X’ and the flagship ‘Oligio XM’ — we can now meet the different needs of different customers.” The event was attended by about 250 Korean medical professionals and 40 overseas medical professionals, along with a large number of influencers from South Korea and abroad.
“Oligio Product Line’s Advantages Include Fast Treatment and Less Pain” About an hour before the event began, the venue was already crowded with participants. At booths displaying Wontech’s key products, Korean and overseas medical professionals continuously stopped by to hear product explanations. Influencers from Asian countries including Japan, China and Thailand were also busy examining the products firsthand and taking photos and videos. Overseas medical professionals, including key opinion leaders (KOLs), were also visible throughout the venue. They closely examined how the products operate and the characteristics of their treatments while touring the exhibition booths. Dr. David Luis, a dermatologist from Indonesia, said he has been using the Oligio product line for about two years. Luis said, “I currently use Oligio X and Titan, and one of Oligio’s advantages is that the treatment is really fast. I have also been using Titan for about five months, and while its energy is powerful, patients tend to experience less pain compared with other devices.” He added, “I am also satisfied with the after-sales service provided through the local distributor in Indonesia. There is also a high level of preference for Korean aesthetic medical devices in Indonesia.”
The strength of the new Oligio XM lies in its ability to select and use different energy methods and depths depending on the patient’s skin condition and treatment area. Wontech has incorporated RF and HIFU technologies, which are widely used in aesthetic skin treatments, into a single device. This means the two treatment methods, which previously required separate devices, can now be performed using one Oligio XM. RF delivers heat to the skin using radiofrequency energy to help improve skin elasticity and other conditions. HIFU focuses ultrasound energy at a desired depth beneath the skin, allowing energy to be selectively delivered to deeper tissue. Medical professionals can select or combine the two methods based on the patient’s facial features and skin condition. Shim Hyun-chul, director of The Cell Dermatology Clinic, who delivered a lecture at the event, said, “Even among people in their 40s, not everyone’s face ages in the same way, and the degree of aging can differ between the right and left sides of the same person’s face. Ultimately, what matters is properly reading the patient’s face and providing treatment accordingly.” Shim said, “Facial aging progresses in a complex manner across multiple layers, including not only the skin but also fat and fascia. Because some patients need greater improvement in skin texture while others require more lifting or facial contouring, treatment should vary according to the area and condition rather than delivering energy in the same way across the entire face.” He added, “True personalized treatment means that a doctor reads the patient’s face and creates an individualized protocol. Oligio XM is a platform that allows different depths and functions to be combined, enabling more detailed treatment strategies tailored to individual patient characteristics.”
The symposium also introduced other products that Wontech is preparing to launch, in addition to Oligio. Nam Hyun-seok, director of the Songdo branch of Oun Clinic, and Hong Won-kyu, director of Class One Clinic, took the stage as speakers and discussed the clinical value and utilization strategies of the key products Titan and Bellastar, respectively. Wontech is also preparing to launch both products. Meanwhile, actor Won Ji-an, Wontech’s brand model, also visited the event to celebrate the unveiling of the new product. Won Ji-an said, “What impressed me most about Oligio is that the treatment can be performed gently without pain. I sincerely congratulate you on the launch of the new product. It is an honor to be able to work with Wontech.”
