Wearable artificial intelligence (AI) diagnostics and monitoring company SEERS has been newly added to the KRX Healthcare Index.

SEERS announced its inclusion in the KRX Healthcare Index as part of the regular September adjustment, effective from Friday.

This adjustment has streamlined the KRX Healthcare Index from 67 to 48 constituent stocks. SEERS joins the index as a medical AI company, alongside pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device firms.

In May, SEERS became the first domestic medical AI company to be included in the KRX300 Index. The company anticipates that its consecutive inclusion in major indices will boost its profile in the capital market and improve accessibility for institutional investors.

SEERS is also demonstrating strong financial performance. In the first half of this year, the company reported sales of 60.9 billion KRW (about 45.3 million USD) and an operating profit of 26.8 billion KRW (about 19.6 million USD), surpassing its total figures for the previous year.

The company’s flagship products include thynC, an AI inpatient monitoring platform, and ‘mobiCARE’, a wearable AI electrocardiogram analysis solution. SEERS aims to expand its presence in domestic hospitals while accelerating its entry into international markets.

For the latter half of the year, SEERS plans to introduce thynC to more hospitals in the U.S. and increase the number of beds using its system. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the company is working on commercializing screening and outpatient services. Meanwhile, in the U.S., SEERS is preparing to expand its business by entering the Medicare reimbursement market.

A SEERS spokesperson stated that the inclusion in the KRX Healthcare Index, following our addition to the KRX300, underscores the growth as a medical AI company with both technological prowess and solid performance. They added that it will continue to expand our domestic operations while also making strides in global markets such as the UAE and the U.S.

The name SEERS embodies the concept of a forerunner. It reflects the company’s founding philosophy of anticipating changes in healthcare and creating innovative medical systems, even before digital health solutions became mainstream.
