Neurophet, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven company specializing in brain disease diagnosis and treatment, has gained recognition for its innovative medical technology and AI-based clinical development capabilities at a prestigious Asian bioindustry awards ceremony.
The company announced on Wednesday that it clinched two awards at the BioSpectrum Asia Excellence Awards 2026.
Neurophet secured wins in both the MedTech Innovation and AI-Based Clinical Development categories, making it the sole South Korean company to achieve this dual recognition.
This accolade underscores Neurophet’s success in expanding its proprietary AI-powered brain imaging analysis technology into the realm of clinical development for new drugs.
The company is advancing its clinical research imaging analysis (ICL) business, leveraging its brain imaging analysis solution, Neurophet Aqua, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging analysis tool, Neurophet Scale PET.
ICL services enhance new drug clinical trials by analyzing medical images like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and PET scans to support patient screening and treatment efficacy evaluation. Neurophet is broadening its scope from clinical trial participant selection to imaging biomarker analysis, safety monitoring, and treatment effectiveness assessment.
Objective assessments using medical imaging are crucial in developing treatments for brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease. MRI and PET scans are vital for identifying structural brain changes and specific pathological features, serving as key metrics for evaluating pre- and post-treatment changes in clinical trials.
AI-driven imaging analysis technology facilitates quantitative analysis of these medical images, enabling consistent evaluation criteria in clinical trials. By integrating brain imaging analysis technology with clinical research support services, Neurophet is expanding AI’s role in the drug development process.
Following this recognition, Neurophet aims to strengthen collaborations with global pharmaceutical and biotech firms, clinical research organizations (CROs), and specialized imaging analysis CROs.
Bin Jun-gil, co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Neurophet, stated that it plans to expand partnerships with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, medical and research institutions, and CROs worldwide. The goal is to enhance the application and value of imaging biomarkers in developing new treatments for brain diseases.
BioSpectrum Asia, founded in Singapore in 2006, is a leading life sciences publication in the Asia-Pacific region. Neurophet’s award nomination came through a recommendation from the Korea Bio Association.
