PR agency PRBom said on the 2nd that its human papillomavirus (HPV) prevention awareness campaign, conducted in partnership with MSD Korea, placed third in the 2026 Global SABRE Awards.

The Global SABRE Awards are organized by Provoke Media, an international publication specializing in public relations. This year, the awards received more than 5,500 entries from over 60 countries and selected 40 outstanding campaigns for final rankings.

The HPV awareness campaign by MSD Korea and PRBom, titled “A Virus Has No Gender,” placed third among the 40 finalists. It was the only campaign from South Korea to make the final list.

Over the past decade, the two companies have worked to improve public understanding of HPV and highlight the need to expand prevention policies. In particular, their campaign has emphasized that HPV-related diseases are not limited to one gender and that prevention is important for both men and women.

HPV can infect people regardless of sex. Some high-risk types are associated with several cancers, including cervical, anal and oropharyngeal cancer. HPV vaccines help prevent infection with the virus and reduce the risk of related diseases.

The global recognition follows an earlier achievement in the Asia-Pacific region. In August, PRBom won the top honor, the Platinum SABRE Award, for the same campaign at the 2026 Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards in Singapore.

At the time, the organizers highlighted the campaign’s decade-long efforts to drive changes in government policy concerning HPV vaccination.

Eun-jung Jeon, CEO of PRBom, said, “Following the top award in the Asia-Pacific region, placing third globally is a meaningful achievement that recognizes the efforts and results we have built over the past decade together with MSD Korea. We will continue working with our clients to strengthen the positive impact and social value of healthcare public relations.”
