The New York Times (NYT) reported on Wednesday that American singer Taylor Swift is set to marry National Football League (NFL) player Travis Kelce in New York on July 3.

According to the NYT, citing three sources close to the matter, a permit application has been filed with New York City to close off roads surrounding Madison Square Garden from July 2 to noon on July 4 for their wedding ceremony.

Dora Pequeno, a spokesperson for New York City Hall, confirmed to Reuters that they have indeed received a permit application with these specific details.

In a related development, several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates have reportedly reserved rooms at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square for dates around July 3.

The NYT also revealed that Madison Square Garden is planning a wedding celebration event on the same day.

Winick Productions, the event planning company, has requested permission from city authorities to erect outdoor tents or canopies, anticipating between 500 and 999 guests for the star-studded affair.
