In a display of unity, members whose contracts had expired, as well as those still under existing agreements due to military service, opted for early renewals to ensure the group’s continuity.

NCT 127, which made its debut on July 7, 2016, represents the Seoul-based unit of the larger NCT collective. The group’s original lineup included Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Haechan, with Johnny joining in 2017 and Jungwoo in 2018. Currently, Doyoung and Jungwoo are fulfilling their mandatory military service.
Over the years, NCT 127 has dropped a string of chart-toppers including “Fire Truck,” “Cherry Bomb,” “Touch,” “Superhuman,” “Sticker,” “Kick It,” “Fact Check,” and “Bump.” Their signature neo-futuristic sound and high-energy performances have kept fans hooked for nearly a decade.
As they mark their 10th anniversary this year, the group is set to drop their seventh studio album on August 24, ending a two-year hiatus.
