After a two-year and two-month hiatus, Red Velvet is finally making their highly anticipated full-group comeback. The K-pop quintet is set to return with a summer anthem that perfectly encapsulates their unique style.
Red Velvet, consisting of members Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri, will drop their new summer mini-album Velvet Summer on August 3 at 6:00 p.m. (Korean time) across various digital music platforms.
This release marks Red Velvet’s first full-group comeback since their June 2024 album Cosmic. The summer-themed extended play (EP) boasts five diverse tracks, spanning genres from bossa nova and reggae to dance, classical, and acoustic, showcasing the group’s expanded musical range.

From July 31 to August 2, the group is hosting their 2026 Red Velvet Fancon: A Day in Red & Velvet at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul. The fan concert, marking their first full-group performance in years, saw such overwhelming demand that additional shows were added after the initial two-day run sold out instantly.
