The National Museum of Korea Foundation is set to unveil the BLACKPINK HERITAGE COLLECTION on August 8, commemorating BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary. This exclusive seven-piece collection draws inspiration from the Empress’s Formal Attire (Original Pattern) housed in the National Museum, featuring intricate pheasant and magnolia flower motifs.
Starting August 8, visitors can view the BLACKPINK HERITAGE COLLECTION on display at Product Hall 2 within the National Museum of Korea’s permanent exhibition area. The museum will showcase the actual products, offering fans a chance to see them up close.
The collection comprises seven distinct items, each meticulously designed to honor BLACKPINK’s decade-long journey in the music industry.
Each piece in the collection showcases a stunning gradient of BLACKPINK’s iconic black and pink hues. The designs also incorporate elements from the Empress’s Formal Attire (Original Pattern), adding a touch of royal elegance.
The Original Pattern served as a template for creating the formal attire worn by the Empress of the Korean Empire. It features twelve rows of pheasants, symbolizing the Empress, alongside magnolia patterns representing the Korean Empire’s royal family.
The collection’s slogan, Heritage, Where Time Becomes Value, encapsulates BLACKPINK’s journey and the significance they’ve cultivated over the years.
Fans can purchase these exclusive items through official sales channels. The YG SELECT online store will offer the collection in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese, with shipments commencing in September.
For those who prefer in-person shopping, select offline retailers like theSameE will begin selling the collection mid-September. These stores are conveniently located in the trendy neighborhoods of Hongdae, Insadong, and Myeongdong.
