Soyeon, a member of the group i-dle and a solo artist, has personally addressed the rumors regarding 1 billion KRW (about 722,000 USD) in royalties.

The revelation came during an episode of “Heo Kyung Hwan’s Trend Show” on the YouTube channel “ggzz,” titled “Jeon Soyeon, Thought Risen Minami Would Do Well? | EP. 02 i-dle Soyeon Edition.” In this talk show, where comedian Heo Kyung Hwan explores exclusive information from guests, Soyeon discussed the buzz surrounding her alleged earnings.

When Heo asked about the rumored 1 billion KRW (approximately 722,000 USD) monthly royalties, Soyeon hesitated before admitting that she went all out for her YouTube channel and said something really provocative. Her candid response drew laughter from the audience.

Pressed further about why she was hesitating, Soyeon explained that it’s a career where you could potentially earn 1 billion KRW (approximately 722,000 USD) a month if you’re really successful, but you could also only make 10 KRW (approximately 0.0075 USD). She added, chuckling that people only focus on earn 1 billion KRW part and ignore the 10 KRW’ part.

When Heo asked if her earnings actually reached 1 billion KRW (about 722,000 USD), Soyeon deflected, saying to pease, let’s move on.

In other news, Soyeon recently dropped her first solo album, A Wonderful Life, on September 7. The title track, “I’ll Quit,” struck a chord with office workers and topped the Melon Top 100 chart.
