Los Angeles Football Club (LA FC), a Major League Soccer (MLS) team, has acquired forward Armindo Sieb from Bayern Munich.

The club announced on its website on Friday that they’ve signed Sieb to a three-year contract with an option for an additional year. Sieb is currently awaiting his international transfer certificate and P-1 visa approval.

A former German youth international, Sieb is a versatile attacker who can play as both a central striker and a winger.

When deployed centrally, he can help manage Son Heung-min’s workload, and when positioned on the wing, he has the potential to create a dynamic partnership with Son, similar to Dennis Bouanga.

Sieb, who came up through Hoffenheim’s youth academy before joining Bayern Munich, struggled to break into the first team. Last season, he was loaned to Mainz 05, where he netted twice in 22 appearances.

An LA FC spokesperson highlighted Sieb’s qualities, stating that Armindo brings exceptional technical ability, pace, and an attacking mindset that will inject fresh energy into our offensive lineup.

They added that despite his young age, he’s gained invaluable experience in the Bundesliga, one of the world’s top leagues. It’s confident Sieb will play a crucial role in the pursuit of the championship.

With this acquisition, LA FC bolsters an already impressive attacking corps that includes Son Heung-min, Bouanga, David Martinez, and Jacob Schaffelburg for the remainder of the season.

LA FC currently sits in second place in the MLS Western Conference with a record of 10 wins, 4 draws, and 5 losses, accumulating 34 points.
