Mark, former NCT member, announces legal action against malicious online posts.

On Wednesday, Mark’s agency Upper Room issued a statement via the fan communication platform Weverse: Since the establishment earlier this year, it has been vigilantly monitoring various online platforms and social media for malicious content targeting the artist, including defamation, false information, and personal attacks.

The agency emphasized that the artist is more concerned about the emotional distress these harmful posts may cause fans rather than the impact on himself. As such, it will be taking firm legal action against cyberbullying in the form of malicious posts and comments to protect both the artist and his supporters.

Upper Room added that they’re committed to fostering an environment where only positive interactions through music can flourish between the artist and fans.

Mark debuted in 2016 with NCT U and has been a key member of NCT 127 and NCT Dream. As a solo artist, he’s gained traction with tracks like “1999,” “+82 Pressin’,” “Fraktsiya” featuring Lee Young-ji, “Child,” and “Loser.”

This April, marking a decade since his debut, Mark parted ways with SM Entertainment and left NCT. He subsequently launched his own label, Upper Room, embarking on a solo career.
