MONSTA X is set to expand their musical spectrum once again with their distinctive new track “MAGIC”.
The group will drop their new mini-album The Phase on various music platforms at 1:00 p.m. (KST) on Friday. The Phase showcases MONSTA X’s current state through six diverse tracks, each conveying unique moods and emotions that can’t be pinned down to a single sentiment or image.
The title track “MAGIC” draws a parallel between intense attraction and magic, portraying uncontrollable emotions and destined encounters. With its rhythmic guitar, pulsating beats, and seamless blend of rap and vocals, the song delivers MONSTA X’s trademark explosive energy. Member Joohoney contributed to the lyrics.
The album features six tracks in total, including “Type X”, “SURVIVOR”, “Electric Heart”, “That’s My Girl”, and “Sweet Night, Sweet Morning”. Joohoney had a hand in four of the tracks, even arranging “SURVIVOR” and “Electric Heart”. Hyungwon also showcases his songwriting skills with “Sweet Night, Sweet Morning”, further infusing the album with MONSTA X’s unique musical flavor.
