BTS’s THE CITY project is set to unfold in Singapore on an unprecedented scale.

On Monday, BTS announced the launch of BTS THE CITY ARIRANG-SINGAPORE through their fan communication platform, Weverse.

This ambitious project will run for an entire month, from December 1 to 31, marking the longest duration ever for a THE CITY initiative.

As the grand finale of this year’s events, the Singapore THE CITY project aims to welcome music enthusiasts from across the globe, leveraging all the expertise accumulated over the years.

In collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board, the project will be elevated to a national event. A diverse array of programs will be scattered throughout the city, utilizing key locations and infrastructure.

The Singapore Tourism Board proudly stated that this is the largest citywide project ever undertaken with a single artist. It’s thrilled to showcase this extraordinary experience. They further emphasized that hosting the first Southeast Asian THE CITY ARIRANG demonstrates Singapore’s prowess in attracting world-class intellectual property.

The scale of the project is equally impressive. Iconic Singaporean landmarks, including Mandai Wildlife Reserve, National Gallery Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa Development Corporation, and the Kallang Group, are set to participate in THE CITY.

THE CITY is a large-scale urban project that reimagines city spaces by projecting artists’ narratives, transforming entire urban areas into immersive experiential spaces. The ARIRANG THE CITY initiative kicked off in Seoul alongside the group’s comeback in March and has since expanded through stops in Las Vegas, Busan, London, and New York City.

BTS will launch the Asian leg of their BTS Tour ARIRANG in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on November 19. The Singapore performances are scheduled at the National Stadium on December 17, 19, 20, and 22, totaling four shows.

Since their debut in 2013, BTS has released chart-topping hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance,” cementing their status as a global pop phenomenon. Following their hiatus, they dropped their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, in March, with the title track “Swim” garnering worldwide acclaim.
