Former Brazilian national team striker Richarlison (29) has been left off the player registration list for the new English Premier League (EPL) season, signaling the end of his tenure with Tottenham. Turkey is emerging as the likely destination for his next move.
Tottenham announced their 25-man squad for the 2026-27 Premier League (EPL) season on Friday, and Richarlison’s name was notably absent.
Richarlison’s future has been a hot topic all summer. After joining Tottenham from Everton in 2022, he initially struggled to live up to expectations. However, he bounced back last season, netting 12 goals and playing a crucial role in Tottenham’s narrow escape from relegation.
Despite this resurgence, Richarlison has chosen to part ways with Tottenham this summer. Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi recently confirmed the player’s desire to leave, mentioning after a match against Newcastle that Richarlison had expressed his wish to move on multiple times.
A return to his former club Everton seemed the most likely option. Richarlison had pushed for a move back to the club where he played from 2018 to 2022, but negotiations failed to reach a conclusion before the English transfer window closed.

With the Everton return off the table, Turkish club Trabzonspor has emerged as a potential new destination for Richarlison.
While transfer windows in England and other major European leagues have closed, Turkey’s remains open until September 5. Reports suggest Trabzonspor is pulling out all the stops to land Richarlison, offering him a salary that triples his current earnings.
