Red Velvet’s sub-unit Irene & Seulgi is set to make their official Japanese debut with a new release.
The duo will drop their first Japanese mini-album Cheetah on November 4, with a digital pre-release of all tracks on global music platforms on September 14.
The album features five tracks, including the upbeat title song “Cheetah,” showcasing a diverse range of styles from mature rhythm and blues (R&B) to emotionally nuanced pieces. Following the release, Irene & Seulgi will embark on a seven-city tour, kicking off in Fukuoka on September 19 and continuing through Hyogo, Osaka, Miyagi, Hiroshima, Aichi, and Kanagawa.
Irene & Seulgi first debuted as Red Velvet’s inaugural sub-unit in 2020 with their mini-album Monster. They quickly gained acclaim for their powerful, distinctive sound and impressive performances, with hit tracks like “Monster,” “Naughty,” “Tilt,” and “Girl Next Door.”
As they expand their reach into the Japanese market, fans are eagerly anticipating the duo’s next moves.
