Singer Rosé is set to drop a new single titled “New Trick” in collaboration with tech giant Apple.
The Black Label, Rosé’s management agency, announced on Thursday that her latest track “New Trick” will be released across major music platforms at 8:00 a.m. (KST) on September 18.
The music video for “New Trick” is part of an iPhone campaign in partnership with Apple. A teaser clip featuring Rosé with candy has already been unveiled. Acclaimed director Dave Meyers, known for BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That,” helmed the video, which was reportedly shot entirely on the iPhone 18 Pro.
This release marks Rosé’s first new music since “Messy,” the original sound track (OST) for F1: The Movie released in May last year, ending a 16-month hiatus. With this high-profile corporate collaboration, fans are eagerly anticipating a fresh side to Rosé’s artistry.
Rosé first burst onto the scene in 2016 as a member of BLACKPINK, achieving global stardom with hits like “Whistle,” “Playing with Fire,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Pink Venom,” “Shut Down,” and “How You Like That.” In 2024, while renewing her contract with YG Entertainment for group activities, she chose The Black Label to manage her solo career. Since then, Rosé has cemented her status as a formidable solo artist with tracks such as “APT.,” “Number One Girl,” and “Toxic Till the End.”
