ATEEZ member Hongjoong is riding the wave of success from “Bad” with a new collaboration. The K-pop star is set to release a track with American singer-songwriter Bazzi.
Hongjoong will drop the collaboration project “ENOuGH (w/Bazzi)” on Friday at 1:00 p.m. (KST).
“ENOuGH (w/Bazzi)” marks Hongjoong’s first collaboration in four months, following his May release “PITC” featuring Korean-American pop sensation Anderson .Paak.
The new single features Bazzi, who shot to global fame with hits like “Mine” and “Beautiful”.
Bazzi made waves in the music industry, peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Mine” and reaching No. 14 on the Billboard 200 with his debut album COSMIC.
Music fans are buzzing with anticipation to hear what Hongjoong and Bazzi will create together. Since ATEEZ’s debut, Hongjoong has been a key player in the group’s music production.
He’s flexed his producing muscles with the BY. HONGJOONG project, offering fresh takes on classic tracks. Hongjoong has also penned original songs like “A Walker,” “Why Do You Love,” and his solo track “NO1”.
Hongjoong’s collaborative streak includes featuring on Chungha’s “Innie Mine” and contributing to new versions of “SMB” by American artist Odette and “Almost” by British singer-songwriter Bradley Simpson last year.
ATEEZ has been making waves, especially after dropping their mini-album Golden Hour: Part 5 in June. The title track “Bad” became a viral sensation, with its chest-popping dance move becoming the “killing part”. Member Choi San’s slick moves blew up on short-form video platforms, sparking countless fan challenges.
“Bad” climbed to No. 7 on Melon’s Top 100 and hit No. 3 on the Hot 100. Three months post-release, it’s still going strong at No. 10 on Melon’s Top 100 as of September 18. The group also snagged six wins on music shows.
