Former ENHYPEN member Evan (Lee Hee-seung) has made his debut on the U.S. Billboard main album chart just three months after launching his solo career.
On Wednesday, his label Belift Lab announced that Evan’s first mini-album, DEATH OF ME, entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 49 for the week of October 3.
DEATH OF ME also claimed the No. 2 spot on the World Albums chart and reached No. 7 on the Top Album Sales chart. Evan topped the Emerging Artists chart and debuted at No. 51 on the Artist 100 chart.
Released on September 7, DEATH OF ME comprises eight tracks that explore the theme of overcoming complex emotions and moving forward. Evan was heavily involved in the album’s creation, writing and composing the title track, as well as contributing to the overall production process.
Evan initially debuted in 2020 as a member of the K-pop group ENHYPEN. Following his departure from the group in March, he adopted the stage name Evan and embarked on a solo career under Belift Lab.
His solo debut came on June 22 with the digital single “RIDE OR DIE,” for which he contributed to the lyrics, composition, production, and visual creative direction.
Fans can catch Evan performing “Twilight,” a track from his new album, on the popular music show “M Countdown,” set to air on October 1.
