BABYMONSTER is set to make a comeback after a four-month hiatus.

YG Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced via their official social media channels on Wednesday that BABYMONSTER will release their new digital single “DESERVE” on October 23.

The title “DESERVE” carries the meaning of being worthy or entitled to something. Despite its simplicity, the word allows for various interpretations depending on context, sparking curiosity about the narrative and message woven into this new track.

The unveiled poster features blurred typography against a backdrop resembling torn paper, creating a striking visual impact. The restrained black-and-white palette and vintage aesthetic present a stark contrast to the dreamlike atmosphere of previously released teaser content.

Notably, Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk personally introduced the new song “DESERVE” on the official blog FROM YG, generating buzz. Yang described it as a slow-tempo track that packs a more powerful punch than any of their previous releases.

He highlighted how BABYMONSTER’s signature delicate vocals blend with their explosive singing prowess to convey intense emotions, raising anticipation among K-pop enthusiasts.

Yang also revealed that BABYMONSTER is gearing up to drop a new album in early next year.

Since their 2024 debut, BABYMONSTER has released hit tracks including “DRIP,” “WE GO UP,” “SHUSHI,” “Really Like You,” and “HOT SAUCE.” The group has garnered a substantial fanbase, earning acclaim for their exceptional live performances and commanding stage presence.
