North Korea has proclaimed that it has achieved the status of a powerful nation in all fields, including the economy, military, and culture, on the 31st anniversary of Kim Il Sung’s death.
On Tuesday, the Workers’ Party of Korea’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, published an editorial titled “Let’s Complete the Work of Building a Juche-based Strong Nation Pioneered by the Great Leader Kim Il Sung Under the Party’s Leadership.” The editorial emphasized that today’s all-out march to build a socialist powerhouse admired by the world and a supreme paradise on earth is a magnificent struggle advancing on the foundation of the great leader’s ideology and achievements.
The article stressed that the party central committee’s vision for building a strong nation is a further development of the leader’s state-building ideology to a new, higher level. It also highlighted that the valuable progress being made in the struggle for the comprehensive development of North Korea’s unique socialism is achieved through the precious legacy left by the leader.
The newspaper claimed that all of the country’s valuable assets, including a formidable defense industry capable of producing any cutting-edge weapons at will and a self-reliant economy with a multifaceted and comprehensive structure, embody the leader’s lifelong patriotic devotion. It further emphasized that under the energetic leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the nation is entering a new historical era marked by continuous advancements in all areas of national strength.
Notably, the article asserted that under Kim’s guidance, the struggle to elevate the country’s defense capabilities to unparalleled levels has resulted in the successive creation of the world’s most powerful absolute weapons. It claimed that North Korea’s military technological superiority is becoming increasingly irreversible, while vigorous efforts to achieve the localization, modernization, scientific advancement, and informatization of the people’s economy are firmly establishing a trajectory of sustained growth across all sectors of the national economy.
The newspaper reported that gatherings were held on this day for young students and agricultural workers, including members of the Agricultural Workers’ Union, to share stories about Kim Il Sung’s virtues. It also mentioned that international organizations and foreign dignitaries sent floral tributes to the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
