
As the year draws to a close, North Korea is accelerating its construction achievements, announcing the completion of various facilities, including the South Hamgyong Province Aviation Club.
The ruling party’s newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on page 4 of its November 29 issue that the inauguration ceremony for the South Hamgyong Province Aviation Club took place on the previous day. The facility includes a public aviation sports technology center, a runway, a comprehensive office building, dormitories, and a science and technology dissemination center.
The newspaper also reported that on the same day, inauguration ceremonies were held for the Pyongyang Student Shoe Factory, the school uniform factory, and the Pyongyang Shipping Business Office at the Pyeongcheon Passenger Station. Additionally, the modernization work at the Suncheon Building Materials Factory has been completed.
The front page featured an article titled, Let’s Welcome the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea with High Political Enthusiasm and Outstanding Achievements, aimed at fostering internal unity among the people. The newspaper urged the completion of remaining party tasks, noting that little time remains to fulfill the five-year plan presented at the 8th Congress.
Page 2 reported on the construction of new homes at the Ryokpo Vegetable Farm in the Ryokpo District and the Oryu Vegetable Farm in the Sadong District. The newspaper claimed that rural villages across the country are transforming into socialist ideals with improved living and working conditions. It added that citizens have expressed their determination to repay the party’s benevolence by achieving high crop yields.
Page 3 commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Air Force, celebrated on November 29 as Aviation Day. The newspaper recounted the Air Force’s past achievements, including downing U.S. bombers during the Korean War and rescuing thousands of residents during last year’s Yalu River floods. It proclaimed that no other pilots in the world share such a strong bond with their political party.
Page 5 covered the closing ceremony of the Advanced Science and Technology and Product Exhibition 2025, which took place the previous day at the People’s University of Learning. The newspaper noted that technologies and products presented by the State Academy of Sciences, Morning Computer Joint Company, and Blue Sky Trading Company were well-received.
Page 6 announced that three individuals were recognized as top program developers at the recent National Informatization Achievement Exhibition 2025. The newspaper identified them as a researcher from the Chosun Mangyong Trading Company, a student from the Automation Engineering Department at Kim Il Sung University of Technology, and a student from Dong Pyongyang No. 1 Middle School.
