North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party has emphasized that its top priority in party and state policy is initiatives for future generations, highlighting Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un’s love for the next generation.
The party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported Wednesday under the headline “For Future Generations, For Our Future!” that within the party, love for the next generation is considered paramount and that the socialist state treats children, described as the protagonists of the future, with the highest reverence. The article also claimed that under the guidance of the country’s supreme leader, the laughter of future generations would continue to resonate endlessly and that the nation’s future would remain infinitely bright and prosperous.
On page two, the paper disclosed a statement by Kim Song, North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations, released the previous day. Ambassador Kim contended that Russia’s airstrikes were merely a response to Ukraine’s alleged attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence. He asserted that acts of terror targeting a nation’s absolute sovereignty cannot be justified under any circumstances and that righteous retaliation cannot be portrayed as illegitimate by any argument.
Page three featured an article titled “The Power of Unwavering Loyalty,” which claimed that 2025 would mark the beginning of a golden age of events and transformations along what it described as the noble path forged by exemplary citizens and their descendants. The article said this trajectory would shape an even stronger and more beautiful future for the nation, built on the sweat, love, and wisdom contributed by the people. It also asserted that no force on Earth could withstand what it called the invincible unity between the leader and the people, bound together by a single ideological will and unbreakable blood ties.
The article on page four, titled “Patriotism Knows No Age,” said that although it would be understandable for those who have served in their posts for many years and are now advanced in age to reduce their workload, these individuals demonstrate that as long as one has a patriotic heart, age poses no obstacle. It added that they continue to work with the same passion and vigor they had in their youth.
On page five, the paper suggested that local industrial factories should diversify their product lines. The Jagang Province Rural Economy Committee proudly announced the successful construction of model rice seedling cultivation greenhouses tailored to the northern mountainous regions. The article also stressed that all officials and workers should engage in technological innovation to promote energy conservation.
Page six featured an article titled “The Joy of Longevity Flourishing in the Workers’ Party Era,” which introduced families of centenarians and said they were filled with enthusiasm to devote themselves to what it described as the noble struggle of upholding the party’s leadership and opening a new era of transformation and prosperity for local communities.
