
Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party, posed for a commemorative photo with youth representatives following the 11th Congress of the Socialist Patriotic Youth Alliance. The event was held for the first time in five years.
On May 3, the party’s official newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported that Kim met with participants of the 11th Congress of the Socialist Patriotic Youth Alliance on May 2.
Kim emphasized that never before has the extraordinary patriotic awareness, revolutionary fervor, and fearless dedication of our youth so decisively shaped the vast frontiers of socialist construction as they do today. He added that the exemplary character and unwavering resolve of the youth, unparalleled globally, stand as a proud emblem of the national strength.
The newspaper also highlighted that soldiers deployed across various regions are actively advancing the construction of comprehensive service centers. It reported that military builders dispatched to areas including Panmunjom, Songhwa County, and the Sinuiju Greenhouse Farm Complex are committed to spearheading an unprecedented creative campaign. Their goal is to achieve the simultaneous, balanced, and rapid development initiated by the Party Central Committee, setting new benchmarks in the construction of comprehensive service centers.
Page 2 reported that participants of the 11th Congress of the Socialist Patriotic Youth Alliance actively supported the construction of the 5th phase in the Hwaseong area on May 2. The newspaper noted that the enthusiasm of the Congress participants, who vigorously pushed forward with the construction work, intensified as time progressed.
Page 3 showcased the achievements of the primary party committee at the Pyongchon District Road Management Office. It reported that Harnessing the elevated spirit of the masses, it revitalized several buildings and facilities despite challenging conditions, and systematically fulfilled the objectives outlined in the resolution.
On page 4, the newspaper reported that the 12th graduation ceremony and the 14th opening ceremony of the Vocational Technical School, under the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, took place on May 2. In Yongchon County, significant progress has been made in river excavation and embankment work, yielding notable results.

The newspaper stated that establishing a digital medical service network linking central hospitals to provincial, city, and county hospitals, emergency treatment centers, clinics, and households is a crucial task set by the Party’s 9th Congress. This system aims to ensure that everyone receives timely and accurate diagnoses and treatments.
The newspaper further reported that to enhance the quality of health support for residents, it must establish a health database through a medical Internet of Things.
Page 6 featured an article titled, A Sinister Scheme Aimed at Expanding Military Collusion, which criticized the Japanese government’s recent amendments to the Three Principles on Defense Equipment Transfer and their operational guidelines. It argued that the primary motive behind revising the Three Principles is to create a pretext for intervening in international armed conflicts under the guise of arms exports. The article asserted that the international community is increasingly recognizing Japan’s militaristic tendencies, driven by its ambitions for rearmament.
