North Korea emphasized the importance of ideological construction as a top priority during the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party. The regime urged its citizens to actively engage in an ideological battle.
On Thursday, the party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, published an article titled, Let’s Prioritize Ideological Construction. The piece stated that ideological construction is essential for the party’s existence and development. It also claimed that this approach is fundamental in enabling the party to maintain political leadership in revolutionary efforts and nation-building.
The article further asserted that ideology determines everything. The Juche idea, which motivates people’s thoughts, means nothing is impossible. This is the party’s eternal principle of revolutionary leadership and political philosophy. It stressed that continuously adapting the party’s ideological work to match evolving times and changing public consciousness is of utmost urgency.
Page 2 highlighted the transformation of Kangdong County, featuring the Kangdong Comprehensive Greenhouse Farm, Songga High School, and the Kangdong District Coal Mining Union. The paper claimed that the remarkable changes in Kangdong County are a source of pride and inspiration. This transformation exemplifies the unique ability of the great Workers’ Party of Korea to create new lives and civilizations for the people, despite numerous challenges.
The third page reported on the opening ceremony of the Yanggang Province Three Revolutionary Exhibition Hall on Wednesday. The facility displays materials, equipment, and exhibits showcasing achievements. It also includes areas for academic discussions and electronic reading rooms. The paper noted that Chairman Kim Jong Un directed the establishment of similar exhibition halls across all provinces to facilitate learning, technical exchange, and information sharing for implementing the three revolutionary tasks.
Page 4 covered a national disaster management scientific and technological conference held at the People’s University of Learning on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Organized by the Central Committee of the Korean Federation of Science and Technology and the Korean Disaster Management Association, the event aimed to share and promote advancements in natural disaster prediction, warning systems, unmanned aerial survey technologies, and equipment for rescue and protection during disasters.

It argued that the worsening unemployment crisis is intensifying social divisions and class conflicts in capitalist nations, widening the gap between rich and poor, and leading to the erosion of human values and societal structures.
