Roborock announced on Friday that it had secured the top position among global smart cleaning robot brands in 2025.

According to the 2025 Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Cleaning Robot Tracker report released by global market research firm IDC, Roborock claimed the number one spot globally in the entire category of home cleaning robots, including robotic vacuums and robotic lawnmowers, with annual shipments of 5.8 million units and a market share of 17.7%.

Ecovacs followed in second place with 14.3%, while Dreame secured third with 10.5%.

In the robotic vacuum cleaner sector, Roborock has maintained its global leadership since the third quarter of 2023. The company achieved a record-high market share of 27% based on shipment volume in the latter half of last year. Roborock also dominated the robotic vacuum markets in key countries such as South Korea, the U.S., and Germany, demonstrating its competitiveness across major markets.

IDC reports that global shipments of home cleaning robots are rapidly increasing. In 2025, worldwide shipments of home cleaning robots reached approximately 32.72 million units, a 20.1% increase from the previous year. The robotic vacuum segment led this growth, with a 17.1% year-over-year increase.

Analysts attribute Roborock’s market leadership to its competitive products that cater to diverse living environments and user needs, as well as its strong global brand influence.

IDC predicts that competition in the global cleaning robot market will intensify, driven by product innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) technology advancements. Future competition is expected to focus on AI-based features such as multi-sensor fusion, autonomous decision-making, and spatial awareness.

A Roborock spokesperson stated that the aggressive research and development (R&D) investments and expansion of our product portfolio have resulted in the achievement of the top position in the global robotic vacuum market for three consecutive years. It will continue to strengthen the leadership in the global cleaning robot market by advancing the AI-based cleaning algorithms and robotics technology.
