Samsung Electro-Mechanics Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jang Deok-hyun emphasized that in the artificial intelligence (AI) era, component performance and reliability are crucial for overall system competitiveness. He highlighted that Samsung Electro-Mechanics is uniquely positioned as the world’s only company capable of providing essential core component solutions for AI data centers.

On April 22, Jang personally attended the 2026 SEMCO Component College (SCC) in Busan. There, he pledged to support customer success as the optimal partner in bringing the AI era to fruition.

The SCC, now in its 22nd year since its 2004 inception, is Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ flagship global customer engagement event. This year’s gathering is the largest to date, with 160 international clients and over 300 representatives from diverse sectors including AI servers, automotive electronics, and aerospace.

Themed The Core of AI Future, the event aims to underscore the significance of cutting-edge components driving the AI revolution and to bolster customer partnerships. Attendees will participate in hands-on seminars, exhibitions, and facility tours, exploring topics such as high-reliability Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) requirements for autonomous and electric vehicles (EVs), and evolving component technologies for expanding AI servers and data centers.

The exhibition showcased next-gen solutions, including high-capacity MLCCs for automotive System-on-a-Chips (SOCs), powertrain components, and ultra-thin power inductors for AI servers.

At the event, Jang reiterated Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ unique global position in supplying critical component solutions for AI data centers. He committed to supporting customer success as the ideal partner in realizing the AI era.

Through this event, Samsung Electro-Mechanics aims to strengthen collaborations with AI industry leaders and create new business opportunities, including expanded orders in the latter half of the year. The company is also accelerating its pivot towards future markets, focusing on growth areas like AI and automotive electronics through various channels, including client webinars and events for domestic automotive electronics customers.
