The collaboration aims to jointly develop and implement specialized integrated security services for healthcare facilities.
Elimnet, a leader in information and communication technology (ICT) services, offers a comprehensive suite of solutions including network and information security, internet connectivity, Internet Data Center (IDC), and cloud services. The company has built a strong reputation in the healthcare sector, spearheading personal data protection and ICT projects for medical institutions. Their expertise extends to hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) integration, backed by an extensive network of healthcare clients.
This partnership will leverage SK Shieldus’s round-the-clock security monitoring service (MSS) and cutting-edge cyber threat detection and response service (MDR) capabilities. These will be seamlessly integrated with Elimnet’s specialized knowledge in healthcare data protection and its robust client network, resulting in a tailor-made, comprehensive security solution for medical facilities.
A key focus of the collaboration will be the continuous exchange of intelligence on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities targeting healthcare institutions, coupled with the establishment of a joint rapid response system.
The alliance aims to introduce a holistic security service that encompasses personal data protection, security operations and monitoring, and threat detection and response. This integrated approach is expected to significantly enhance the security posture and incident response capabilities of healthcare providers.

The urgency of this initiative is underscored by recent data from the Korea Social Security Information Service. Their 2026 report reveals a stark increase in security breaches at domestic medical institutions, with incidents surging from 18 cases in 2020 to 71 in 2024 – a nearly 3.9-fold increase.
SK Shieldus reports that global ransomware attacks reached 4,744 incidents in the first half of this year alone. Alarmingly, the second quarter saw a 48% year-over-year increase in such incidents, highlighting the rapidly escalating cyber threat landscape.
