Krafton plans to hire more than 100 entry-level employees with artificial intelligence (AI) skills. The company aims to recruit talent to expand AI technologies developed through game development and operations into new business areas.

Krafton said on the 23rd that it has been accepting applications since the 13th for its 2027 internship program, which offers a path to full-time employment. The program is the company’s largest-ever entry-level recruitment drive, with more than 100 positions available across all job categories.

Rather than focusing on specific academic majors or age, Krafton will prioritize candidates’ ability to use AI to solve problems. The company defines people with these capabilities as “AI Natives.”

For its AI skills assessment, Krafton will use Cofa-Probe, a proprietary recruitment and evaluation solution. The assessment will evaluate the entire process, from how applicants define problems and assign roles to AI to how they verify and refine the results.

The company is recruiting for 16 roles across six categories: AI research, technology, game development (programming), game development (planning), business and support.

Successful candidates will join the company in February 2027 and work in their respective fields for five months. Whether they transition to full-time employment will be determined by their internship evaluations in July of the same year.

During the internship, Krafton plans to help new hires collaborate with experts in their respective fields and use AI tools in their day-to-day work.

Since establishing a dedicated AI organization in 2022, Krafton has introduced new in-game experiences, including generative AI-powered characters and AI companions. Building on these efforts, the company is exploring ways to improve game production as well as opportunities for new AI-based businesses.

The company’s guiding principle, “Pioneer the Undiscovered,” aligns with this strategy. Krafton aims to leverage the technologies and experience it has accumulated in gaming to identify AI-powered services and new business opportunities.

Krafton plans to strengthen its business competitiveness by combining the professional expertise of existing employees with the AI capabilities of new hires.

The company also plans to make its AI Native entry-level recruitment program an annual initiative to secure a steady pipeline of talent needed to expand its AI businesses.
