LG Electronics Inc. has been recognized for its standout competitiveness in entry-level washing machines in the U.S., as value-oriented consumption trends strengthen amid rising prices.
According to Consumer Reports’ ranking of the best washing machines under $800 released on the 29th, LG Electronics recorded top scores across all categories, including front-load washers, top-load washers and high-efficiency top-load washers.
Consumer Reports evaluates washing machines through detailed testing using real-life stains such as wine, cocoa and carbon, analyzing stain removal performance with measurement equipment after washing. It also factors in energy and water usage, noise and vibration, durability, and consumer satisfaction to calculate overall scores.
In the front-load washer category, LG Electronics’ “WM3400CW” received an overall score of 87. It earned top marks not only for washing performance but also for energy and water efficiency, with Consumer Reports noting that “despite its lower price point, the model offers long-term cost savings.”
