Girl group Rescene, recently appointed as ambassadors for Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, has seen their Reels videos skyrocket to over 3.27 million views.

Gyeongju city officials reported on Thursday that viewership of the two Reels videos posted since the group’s appointment on June 26 has surged dramatically.

One Reel, titled, Gyeongju Yaho, Lisenne Arrives as Silla Princesses, released on Monday, has amassed a staggering 1.88 million views across YouTube and Instagram. The other Reel cleverly plays on member Minami’s viral Parapara dance meme, humorously expressing the group’s excitement about their new role as city ambassadors.

Mayor Joo Nak-young expressed his gratitude to the public, saying that they’re thankful for the overwhelming support for Lisenne. It’s committed to delivering city updates in an engaging and accessible manner through various social media platforms.

Rescene, a five-member girl group that debuted in March 2024, has been riding a wave of popularity, largely driven by member Won-i’s YouTube channel. Their single “Love Attack,” released in August 2024, has unexpectedly climbed the charts again after a two-year hiatus, showcasing the group’s enduring appeal.
